Benefit/harm in mixing FF brands?

Thicky question of the week.

DD 18 weeks has been BF, with one EBM bottle as dreamfeed. I need to start her on formula in plan for going back to work - plan is to change one feed every three weeks so she is predominantly BF to weaning.

Ok, but how do I choose which formula to give? On special offer? like the packaging? DH loathes Nestle so I would prefer not to use their brands but otherwise I have nooooo idea.

Am thinking, since BF will taste different dependent on what I've eaten, will mixing different brands be similar?

She is big btw - 18lbs over 98th centile, no probs with BF or from bottle.

A small problem but I just don't know the answer!

none will be on special offer, it's illegal to promote infant formula, so you'll find they're all similarly priced.
nestle don't manufacture formula for the uk, so no worries there either.

I wouldn't bother mixing different brands, there's really no need.
I personally went with cow and gate organic becaue I wanted an organic formula, but the Hipp one made ds1 constipated.
aptamil made him very sicky, but a lot of people swear by it.
tbh they're all pretty much of a muchness.

that said, is there any reason not to give ebm instead of formula? you could express now to get a stock up in the freezer, that way you woudlnt' need to worry about it

Mre people will be along in a bit I'm sure who know more than me, but a breastfeeding specialist I went to said you should change brands regularly because of some complicated reason to do with possible bad batches. Anybody know more about this? There are also more eco-friendly/ethical brands of formula, again hopefully someone will know the names. I used Cow and Gate organic, because I wanted organic and the packaging was easier to manage than Hipp.
