My LO has gone from 75th to 19th centile. She is 10 weeks old.
She has CPMA and is on amino acid formula but just jot gaining. I assume they do not let babies stave in this country!
Any reassuring stories of babies getting back up to a reasonable centile? 😢😢

I think you should speak to gp or HV because random people on here could give harmful advice and your baby is very young.

I don’t have any ‘advice’ as such but my LO dropped 12% body weight and sat at 5lb for almost 5 weeks before my DH threatened legal action to actually get some help. Turns out he had severe tongue tie that 8 people had missed….it was found by pure fluke one appointment where the tongue tie team happened to be present and he was checked at my request as the midwife rolled her eyes at me.

He now the chunkiest baby at 4 months and jumped from the 2nd centile to thr 75th….you will get there.

If i could go back I’d have shouted 10 times louder and rang every day for help. I didn’t, as a FTM I blindly trusted that the HV and midwife’s just knew what they were doing. My son slipped through so many nets.

Pester, persist and repeat, my GP fobbed me off for weeks. You will know what’s normal or not. Have your midwives and HV been quite involved so far?

My DD was born at 75th centile and dropped to 25th. I naturally grow them quite large in me, but the DC are not naturally larger children. Once DD dropped to 25th she tracked perfectly from there.

I would be concerned that your DC has not stopped dropping and speak to HCP about keeping a closer eye on it.

Great job getting amino acid formula so young - you must have advocated strongly. Is baby under dietician or paediatrician? There are cmpa suitable additions they can prescribe to add calories to the milk. Ask for more support.

I'm afraid my cmpa reflux baby has remained skinny now at 4.5 due to ongoing food issues. However, he didn't starve (despite my worries) and is very tall like his dad, so he's growing fine and doing very well in school.

Thanks All. Just lookg for reassurance. I have a private (nhs, private on side) dietician, and GP is pretty responsive
