Mixed fed 8 month old refusing the bottle

Hey guys. My 8 month old DS who has been mixed fed from birth is refusing the bottle since the last week or so. He’s happily breastfeeding but he won’t even look at a bottle anymore. I don’t know what to do, I’ve tried so many times to give him a bottle but he starts crying at the sight of it and wants it nowhere near his mouth. I’m happy to breastfeed him exclusively but I’m worried what if he’s not getting enough breast milk? He’s eating 3 meals a day too, he loves food but I’m still worried what if he’s not getting enough milk from me? Any advice? 🥺

Offer formula in a sippy cup

If he wasn’t getting enough milk from you then you wouldn’t settle after a feed. Definitely try offer milk in a sippy cup. If your worried just keep an eye on his weight.

He won’t drink formula from a sippy cup either. Somehow he finds out it’s milk, not water and he won’t drink it. He drinks water from it but not milk

My youngest daughter hasn’t touched milk of any type since she was 6 months old!
shes done ok

He sounds fine, eating three meals a day is good. He has outgrown milk bottles. As long as (most of) the meals are nutritious, don't worry. He will get all he needs.

My little one is 9 months he is EBF but only feeds like 3-4 times a day. They say milk should still be their main source of calories at this age but each baby is different as long as they are having some I think it’s ok.

Could he have an issue with the formula like a cows milk allergy? If he's happy, eating and gaining weight I wouldn't worry too much but if you are concerned talk to a HV and maybe get him weighed to see how he's getting on.

If he’s happy breastfeeding and eating solids I’d just crack on with that.

By now, your supply is well established and he’s showing you that he’s getting what he needs.
