Just wondered what age it's recommended to stop sterilising things?

I stopped at 12 months with ds (1st baby) but admit I stopped about 9 months with dd as I worried less about germs then Grin
The recommended age is 12 months I believe!

6 months for everything but milk bottles. milk bottles it's 12 months.

I think it's a year - DS is eight months and I still sterilise the breast pump (but I take it to work with me and would rather it had been sterilised before I use it there as I leave it in the fridge and use it again without sterilising in between). We also sterilise bottles as I think it's nicer to sterilise the teats at least and may as well do the whole lot.

I've never sterilised spoons or bowls or cups though (unless the cups have milk in them - I'm peculiar where milk's concerned Grin).

Thanks, I thought it would be around a year. I've stopped sterilising everything apart from bottles but wasn't sure when to stop them. Now he's crawling around everywhere it seemed like the right sort of time. He'll be a year in a couple of weeks.

Happy Birthday BabyDancer for a couple of weeks' time - a Christmas baby!

Thankyou - he was supposed to be a proper christmas baby the 25th, but he spared me christmas day in pain!
