Uneven boobs, how do I get back to normal??

I'm currently ebf 6mo, who has started on solids and in the midst of sleep training. Both of which have led to fewer feeds and don't my boobs know it.

I also seem to have inadvertently encouraged more of a supply on my right side, so it's noticeably bigger than the left. I've tried offering the left side first each time, which hurts on the right with let down.

Any advice on how to get back to an even keel and avoid blocked ducts in the process?

TIA

Your boobs will adjust to the fewer feeds really quickly. The only real way to even up is to feed more on the left and tolerate the pain on the right. If it serre me I'd probably let baby take the pressure off the right but then quickly swap to left for most of the feed, then maybe finish another little bit on the right for comfort sake. You could stick a simple Hukka (sp?) suction bottle to the right while you feed on the left to collect milk.

Oh yeah I have one of those, good thinking! I feel really silly walking around with two completely different sized boobs 🤦‍♀️

Unfortunately you can get stuck like that. Breastfeeding made my boobs uneven and I’m stuck like this forever now. There was a story in the news about Gisele Bundchen having the same problem, she got surgery to fix it. So nobody is immune to it, not even supermodels.

Mine were like this, but when I stopped BF they deflated and evened back out.

Ah I was going to say don't worry they'll even out once you stop breastfeeding but apparently that's not everyone's experience. There is a film with some ideas of what you can do to get baby to take the less popular side.

Re one breast being very full/hot/hard...

Treatment: (this is true for engorgement also)
Ice
Ibuprofen
Feed less/as usual (Don’t try to pump or “empty” the breast.
Gentle sweeping massage towards the armpit and pectoral stretches.

Some movements that help

Uneven breasts?

One breast produces more milk? Baby prefers one breast or even refuses the other?

I gave up feeding on one side around five months as DS didn’t like that side. Fed from one side for two years so they were uneven but after stopping it shrunk back to its normal small size.
