Hi all. You may have seen my other countless threads.

DD2 is 15 weeks and had antibiotics at birth for a few days for suspected sepsis. She's always struggled with wind and poo, constantly straining and fussy until she finally has an explosion. DD1 was CMPA so that was my initial thought- I've been dairy and soy free for 14 weeks now but she just seems to be increasingly unsettled. She does have some good days here and there but they've become less frequent. She does bring up quite a bit of milk but doesn't seem bothered by it, she is far more bothered by the farts and difficulty pooping.

We've seen 2 consultants- both have said that she just has a sensitive gut due to the antibiotics at birth (most likely) and she will just grow out of it. I believe them. HOWEVER I also have a 2.5 year old and am really struggling during the day. DD2 is either feeding or crying. She used to be a decent napper until last week, now she just won't settle until she's pooped, IF she poops. Sometimes she will doze off on me from sheer exhaustion of crying and screaming but the second I put her down, she's up. She does not like the sling as she can't kick her legs out as she does most of the day to get the farts out.

Pleaseeee tell me someone's been through similar and it gets better? I feel like it's getting worse and not better. Her weight gain is fine. Lots of wet nappies and on average a good number of dirty ones- they just come in avalanches.

Two suggestions since it's sounds like you've tried almost everything. Have you thought about cranial osteopathy? It might not solve it completely but it is very relaxing for them and can make them a bit more content.
Also maybe try another type of baby carrier. I have a pognae (though I think you can only get second hand ones now) where baby's legs wrap around you rather than dangle down. I often get lots of farts out using it.

Yep we've had a few CO sessions, still no change apart from her latch/feeding improved in the early weeks.
Have also tried a baby carrier. She's just so unhappy all of the time. Thanks for the suggestions though and for taking the time to respond :)

That does sound completely exhausting @Feedingnightmare Flowers

Just wondering if it could be Tongue Tie? Are the symptoms similar to the ones in the link?

@PritiPatelsMaker we had her TT snipped at 6 weeks, latch is good and I'm in no pain whatsoever. It really is exhausting.

It might be worth getting it checked again then as sometimes they can reattach.

DS had TT which was missed, looked like he his latch was fine and I didn't have any pain but he still had terrible pain with wind, awful sleep, trouble with weaning and speech for a long time.

We have similar trouble with my 10 week old though he is less distressed now on omeprazole. Our biggest trouble is settling him for overnight sleep anywhere but on one of us. Also had antibiotics in labour. We're about to start trying infant probiotics in the hope it might rebalance his gut microbiata and help him to settle comfortably. A long shot but I read a systematic review which confirmed babies receiving antibiotics during birth do have reduced/less varied microbiata and that infant probiotics don't do any harm. I don't think the evidence is there yet that they'll help but it's an expanding field.
