Inverted nipple/s, can I breast feed?

Since puberty my L nipple has been totally inverted and never has popped out to say hello. My R nipple is inverted at rest but can be persuaded to pop out on occasion! I really want to BF and am 20wks preggers with my first. I spoke to the midwife who suggested BFing from the R boob and expressing from the L. I did my own research and found the Aventi Nipplette which I am using as much as I can, although I find it detaches very often. After 1 wk I'm confident about the R nipple but am struggling to get the L one out at all. Has anyone had a similar problem? Any tips, advice/encouragement?

I have sleepy nips myself. They are a bit reticent about showing themselves. I was paranoid that I would not be able to breast feed

at about 30 weeks they popped out and I fed for 13 months. I had stunning boobs for that time

They've adopted their original position now

Don't worry. Ask the MW about the La Leche League and NCT for advice. remember you breastfeed and not nipplefeed

You can do it, don't worry

I used to have an inverted nipple. With practice could tease it out then pump a little before latching. After around 5 months of bfing it was a major outie!

What about trying the Nipple Formers rather than the nipplette?
