Getting enough milk with reflux

I’m forums feeding my baby and she isn’t putting on weight as fast as she should. She’s seven weeks old on Tuesday and always seems hungry. She’s suffered with reflux (normal and silent) since birth. She’s been prescribed Gaviscon and we’ve tried anti reflux formulas etc but they make no difference. She writhes and fusses and seems generally very uncomfortable all the time she’s awake so yesterday my husband and I decided to feed her less formula. She will happily drink 120ml at a time but it comes up straight away so we put her on 90ml She was like a different baby and was happy and content pretty much all day. But when we looked at how much she’d consumed it was only 610ml in 24 hours which doesn’t seem enough for her to put on weight. I’m not sure what to do as I don’t think she can take any more milk atm.

Any ideas?

How much does she weigh?
I would go on 150mls per kilo as a round guide but I would use her as a guide; you've already said she was more settled on a smaller feed. How are her nappies?

She weighs around 10lb so needs at least 675ml every day. I can’t get that into her! But her nappies are always wet and she’s doing two pooey nappies a day. My main concern is her weight gain as she’s dropped two percentiles since birth.

I was told to forget about birth weight when calculating percentiles. Babies are all different. I have had big birth weight babies with one on 15th percentile and other on 50th. (Both born at over 90th) At no point was any medical professional worried because babies were content, alert and had wet and dirty nappies.
When you were giving your daughter 120mls how much of it did she actually keep down? She actually might be getting more calories now on 90mls. Sometimes with reflux it is all trial and error, but talk to your GP/HV if you’re concerned.

@Crunchingleaf thats really good advice I wish someone had given me that advice when feeding my baby. I was so obsessed with get a certain number of ml within him that I ended up creating a feeding aversion for him which is a whole different battle!
