How much to pump during nursing strike?

My 5 month old has a nasty cold and cough and has drastically reduced her feeds (I'm keeping an eye out for dehydration but so far she's feeding enough for wet and dirty nappies). I am engorged and terrified of getting mastitis. I'm pumping but should I just pump enough so I'm not uncomfortable, or aim to completely drain my breasts. It's very time consuming with a sick baby and another child on half term! Any tips or positive stories of babies coming back around to the boobs after a nursing strike gratefully received!

Pump whenever she would usually be feeding, and completely drain the breasts
Otherwise you’ll lose your supply

I'd just express to take the edge off.

Also, gave you tried using a saline nose spray for your baby? I'd do this about 10mins before a feed and then that should make her sneeze loads of gunk out and she will be happier to feed with a clearer nose. I really swear by it

Oh bless you! Have you tried feeding the baby sitting quite upright?

Like this little film

I don't agree with this personally. At 5 months your supply will be very established. LOs often go through times of wanting more, like growth spurts or hot weather and times of wanting less, like illness and your body will adjust to these fluctuations.

How is your DS now? Is the Nursing Strike over?
