Using more than one formula brand?

Is it OK to use more than one formula brand? DH brought some of the small ready to use bottles for feeds while out and about over the first few months. Problem is he brought SMA but we are using Aptimal at home. Can we use a different brand while out and about without upsetting her stomach? DH brought the SMA ones in bulk off Amazon so it’s a lot to to waste if we don’t use it.

It all depends on your DC. Some babies will tolerate swapping between formulas, it gave our DD a bit of an upset tummy.

We sold our unused formula to someone on our local fb group so if you don't want to use it then you could try this.

My DD doesn't seem to mind at all - she never seemed to like Kendamil much but the others she's tried she seems to have no problem with.

We usually use Hipp Organic at home but it's really hard to get hold of the premade version of that so she ends up with Aptimal premade.

We used to swap between aldi mamia powder formula and aptamil ready made for when out and about anf DD was fine, i think some formulas are more similar to some than others so sqapping is easier

It could depend on your child but it wasn’t a problem for us. We used Aldi formula and the whatever was easily available for the ready bottles which I often took out and about - usually Aptamil or cow and gate. I was combination feeding so that was in addition to breastmilk too, a bit of everything and DC didn’t seem to mind at all.

Yes it's OK. I went between Aldi Mamia and Cow and Gate with my youngest. Looking at the ingredients they were almost identical.

Thanks everyone for the advice! That’s reassuring to know. We will try it and see. We are also alternating formula and breast milk at home.
