Re-introducing breastmilk

After just over a month of arduous pumping and the delight of momentary latching, I've successfully managed to relactate and am currently producing enough milk a day to substitute a full feed for my 4 month old.

I've been giving her regular 5-10ml doses from my pumping activity in a syringe and whatever she has when she latches on (which is only for a couple of minutes atm)

I'm a little anxious about combination feeding her and wondered if anyone had experienced their LO having constipation or diarrhoea as a result?
Should I just gradually give her increased amounts along with formula or just give her a full feed straight away (I'm pumping btw 150-200ml a day so far)
Any advice?

I'd give the LLL a ring with a Q like that.

Unless someone has experienced it!

If it were me I'd give a full feed on the breast - let her hang out there and feed as and when she wants. But best to call a helpline probably.

Thanks I'm already in contact with them so will ask.
She won't latch on for long so I'm mostly pumping for her

This would be my answer based on my own breast and pooing experiences!

I think it can be hard to judge as milk production syncs with the needs of the child.

When you produce more milk, say during a growth spurt, or pumping more than they're taking, it can mean it's more watery which can, in my experience make them a bit gassy and explosive. (Colief helps that but is easier to give in a bottle) I was v sensitive to pumping and ended up with immense over supply with (actually number two did it with no pumping, he just never let go...)

But I also don't think it's something that am be easily judged or quality controlled tbh.

Breast milk tends to help actual constipation, (caused by food) at the same time they absorb it v well so sometimes breastfed babies don't poo as frequently. But they're not constipated, of that makes sense?!

If you're northern (?) the LLL NE Facebook groups are amazing. Really good peer advice.
