4 week old boy is going 2/3 hours between feeds, grazing and then vomiting if I give him a full feed that he asks for.

My 4 week old boy is bottle fed. Currently got him on SMA little steps formula. He is a grazer and likes to wake and show hunger cues every 2/3 hours. I will only offer him what he’s wanting which is becoming very wasteful/ time consuming. If he has the full feed which is 4oz at the moment he will 9 times out of 10 projectile vomit either straight after/ a little while after whilst I’m holding him upright for wind.

He sometimes can be very unsettled when going to sleep which I believe is due to an upset tummy.

Im thinking of changing his formula to see if it helps but I’m unsure which one could help his situation? Also how do I get him to stop grazing as I feel like this would stop the vomiting! He’s being greedy thinking he needs more but it’s just making him vomit. He is very reluctant to take a dummy although I do give him one when he seems irritable after a feed/ when falling asleep.

I had none of this with my first, so need some help as I’m getting very stressed/ anxious that this will never end!

I think babies need a proper gap of 3 hours ish between feeds in order to digest the last one. However if you’re worried do ask your health visitor. Sometimes hunger cues can actually be tiredness if they are snuggling into your chest etc. hope you’ve got friends and family around you to support you. Very tricky time!

Health visitor will know more than me, but 4oz sounds a lot for 2-3 hours gap with a 4week old. I'm bf my 10 week old, so honestly hard to tell what I feed him, but I pump a 3oz bottle for his dad to give him in one of the night feeds - he can manage that ok and then needs feeding 2-3 hours later. I tend to offer a dummy after a bit (when he spits up or shows any discomfort), and that seems to help with sicking up. I think sometimes he is just sucking for comfort, so given the option he goes for dummy. Hope you get some good help and advice, best of luck x
