Anyone seen those NHS breastfeeding adverts on TV?

Good on them for trying but a bit disappointing really.

Saw one on 5US last night whilst feeding my CSI addiction.

Two young women sitting on park bench one very obviously pretending to bf a very obviously plastic baby. Dialogue was very stilted and twee too and it all felt kind of stuck in the 80s. I can't imagine it influencing anyone positively.

Seemed like a missed opportunity. Why not show someone really bf a real baby or at least have real women talking about their experiences.

That may be my problem. Mine were both 99.6th centile. Huge.

there what (looks to me) a tiny baby that I see when I pick DS2 up from nursery.....but chatting to his mum he's actually 2 months older than my DS3 - 9 months old and still in 3-6 month stuff........god I can't remember when I last time I put DS3 (7 1/2 months) in clothes that size - he's been in 12-18 months for what seems like forever LOL.

I still think the SMA ad is very "new baby" orientated. Sorry if ASA think no reasonable person could think that, but the more complaints they get the better.

Perhaps we should write to MPs to complain about the loophole in the law - pointing out that perhaps preventing misleading ads like that one may perhaps do more for breastfeeding rates than putting out poor bf ads on a shoestring.

Or perhaps we should write to WHO to tighten up their code.
