Urgent help needed- DD refusing to feed from one breast!

DD2 is 15 weeks. Yesterday her tummy seemed out of sorts and we had lots of trouble feeding (thrashing, wind, heavy possetting) Today she seems nearly back to normal if maybe a bit less hungry.

BUT- she does not seem to want to feed from my left side at all. she will latch on but then pulls off screaming and thrashes around after a few seconds. She is a lot calmer on the right side but I am worried that this will quickly lead to reduced supply on the left and engorgement on the right if it continues.

Nothing is different as far as I can tell- I am not engorged or in pain and am not aware of any let-down issues on either side. What could be causing this and what can I do to resolve it?

TIA

Can you feed her in rugby position so she's lying on the same side as when she feeds on right?

good idea, never tried rugby hold but will have a go after her bath in a minute.

it's almost as if they taste different!

also..... try lying down. Rugby or vertical hold very good.

DS2 did this a lot. Fussy bugger. I now only feed him with him on my right and he stretches across for the other side. But he's nearly two, so he's big enough to help himself.

Marslady- which is vertical hold?

Relative success- got a bit tangled up trying rugby hold (will need to practise) but managed lying down tummy to tummy in the end after some noisy protest.

Halfway through she did a rather evil green poo, then did another while I was changing her- since she has been struggling with wind and a bit of a tummy upset for a couple of days I wonder if lying on her right side on 'classical' bfeeding position was putting pressure on her stomach.

Anyway, thanks for tips. V interesting about your DS2, Hunker!

Straight down your body. Much like lying down only you're sitting up.

Practise with the Rugby hold. It's a good one.
