Baby / Teat size / cystic fibrosis

My almost 7-month-old started life very poorly and was rag and bones for a long time, so stayed on a small teat for ages. She soon put weight on and progressed to MAM size 2 (I tried other teats, and MAM was best for her, as it was for her older sister). Overtime this became too small, as it was taking up to half an hour to finish now she was drinking more, so two weeks ago I changed up one level to the age 3 months teat - which she should be able to handle given she's nearly 7 months. For some reason her milk now gets finished in less than three minutes, which in itself would be okay but this includes a fair bit of spillage. Two weeks seems ample to learn to use the larger teat, does it not? I wonder why there seems to be a big difference between the age 2 months teat (which takes her half an hour) and the age 3 months, which takes 3 minutes. The worrying thing is the spillage. This isn't just a case of hanging on it there and it will be fine, I need to sort it out asap because she has cystic fibrosis, so it is vital I can monitor exactly how much she drinks, as the amount of meds she takes depends on exactly what amount she is drinking.

CORRECTION: I mean 4-months (not 3-months) teat.
