RTW 7month, is it worth getting a hands free pump

Just as the thread says really

DS will be 7m this week, I RTW full time tomorrow.

I can work from home 3 or 4 days a week and husband is on shared leave until July, childminder from then on when he will be 9 and a half months old

Weaning to solids is going well but she still feeds mid morning, lunchtime and mid afternoon and whilst I plan to express, I have the Tommee tippee double electric which is bulky

I can feed when I’m working from home, he can bring me the baby, or can express in a room at work

He’ll also take formula if needed but I’d rather he had the breastmilk if possible.

I’ve seen a double momcozy for £120 and I’m really tempted. We don’t have much money at the moment but I could probably scrape enough together to get it if it’ll mean pumping is easier

What I don’t want to do is get one and then he reduces feeds loads as that would feel like a waste as I could persevere with the TT for a short while if necessary.

Any tips?

Don’t waste your money on a new pump. Instead set up a mattress on the floor and prepare yourself for the extra night feeds.

I also returned to full-time work at 7 months. DS was still nursing every hour at this stage.

As it turns out DS refused to drink any milk while I was at work, preferring instead to be permanently attached to me whenever I wasn’t working.

@IAgreeWithBryanCaplan you’re so right! He’s been waking 4-5 times per night this week arghhhhh

Can’t deny him food but I’m exhausted. Thank goodness for a bank holiday

Incidentally I bought the pump and it’s good as means I can express whilst working, all I need now is for my hubby to give him the stuff I’ve expressed! (He keeps forgetting and making formula instead)
