Hi!

I'm looking for a recipe of treats for DD to take to school for her birthday.

Soooooo no to a few of things, you know. No peanut butter or other nuts, no actual sugar, vegetarian.... It's ok if it has yogurt, eggs, dates, ....

I saw some recipes for muffins that are banana and oats based but I never tried them and I don't know if they're ok. Have you tried anything that was good that you can share the recipe?

Thanks Smile

Honestly there are so many allergies that you’re best off just buying haribo. In my class of 28 we have no dairy, no gluten, no nuts, halal, vegetarian.

Should have added in my sons class there is the above and also no eggs and no citrus as well. It’s a minefield.

They cook in the school sometimes 🤷🏻‍♀️ she has brought back yogurt and fairy cakes and something else I can't remember. So it seems that if I keep it nut and sugar free it's ok. But thanks for the reminder, I'll think about that option

They cook in the school sometimes well yes but parents of the allergy children in our LEA have to have a meeting with the county caterers to ensure the menu and ingredients used meet their specific requirements before they are allowed to have school dinners. They are then given an allergy card to take with them to the kitchen - it’s very controlled.
