I am EBF my six week old DD. I have a bit of oversupply, which isn't too bad during the day as she feeds every hour and a half. I sometimes have to squirt a bit of breast milk into a muslin cloth before I start feeding or she chokes on my let down and won't latch, but otherwise not too much bother.
She sleeps really well during the night- I feed her about 10.30, then she sleeps until about 3 and wakes for a feed, then again at 7, so I need to pump the other breast that she feeds from or I get so engorged that I end up really uncomfortable and end up leaking all over the bedsheets. I freeze the milk I get.
I have a manual pump at the moment, so it's tiring at 3am having to get up to change her, feed her, style her back in the crib, then stay up for another 15-20 mins to pump. I decided to get a handfree pump so I can just whack it on whilst she feeds from the other side, so I can get that extra 20 mins sleep.
I can't really afford the £200-£300 price tag of an elvie or similar. Unless you think that it's definitely worth the splurge, I'd rather get a more reasonable price one.
There's a few on Amazon for £50-£60. Has anyone bought one of these? Are they worth it?
Sorry for the long post, and thank you
