Slings that are good for BF

Tell me your favourite one - I am hoping to convince DH that I should get another sling. I have a coorie at the moment which was lovely when he was tiny but getting a bit more tricky as gets bigger plus it is not really good for feeding in.

I am only 5ft 1" if that makes a difference and tend to suffer from back ache so has to have good support.

How old is your LO? I've just got a babyhawk and find it good for discreet breastfeeding while walking along, as well as fab for all sorts of other reasons. It's a mei tei so LO is sitting up, but DD gets on ok with emergency feeds that way. I also had a Coorie and found it good as well when dd was tiny, but i only ever carried her in the sitting up position so not totally discreet for emergency feeds. Others on MN swear by ring slings for feeding. I've got one and find it great for round the house but haven't cracked feeding in it at all. hth.

He is ten weeks today so still pretty wee. There are so many out there it's hard to know what is right but as they are dear I want to make a good choice.

Well I didn't get the babyhawk till she was 5 months so don't know what it's like for smaller babies but it's fab now and lasts till they are toddlers. You could check out the slingmeet website for other ideas. To be honest I've got a few slings inc Kari Me and Calin Bleu and tho they're all fab for different functions the babyhawk has been the easiest for bfing so far, but as i say that's in a sitting position not in conventional bfing lying down. Maybe others will have other ideas for smaller babies - as I said I know lots rave about ring slings which is kind of like a Coorie but more flexible and adaptable (and a bit harder to get your head round at first.). Hope you find one that works for you and happy new year.

i have the Baba Sling and have bfed using this since dd2 was born - she is now 10 months and i still confortably use this to feed (or for dd2 to nap) whilst out and about. It is like an extra set of hands for me - could not live without it now

I have been reliably informed that the Moby is spot on because it's stgretchy so you can easily change baby's position.

I have the coory and carry for my DD who's four weeks - getting on really well with it. She has fed from it once, but the BEST BIT is that once she's asleep I can plonk the whole thing in the cot, yay!
(It's from Ebay, murron's pouch or something like that).
