any advice appreciated
ds now 14wks, and has just recently started, after his 11pm feed, waking every two hours thru the night, i am trying to settle him with a dummy and sometimes it works only for him to stir again and then i end of feeding him(BF). an also trying a bottle but he is a stubborn boy!
this is resulting in him not feeding at 7.30.(dd up at this time too.) he is not looking for it and i usually get him to go til 11am and then on track again for the day.

but i am exhausted with the broken sleep.

i feel myself he doesnt get enough at 11pm. he feeds at 5pm and 7pm and off to sleep.

i try to really wake him at 11 to take a good feed(he does awaken himself) but he doesnt seem to want that much then and in the night its not that much either.

would formula at 11 help? he dosent really take a bottle .

why not try a bottle of expressed milk -ten you know how much he's had and maybe not make him too sleepy to take more?

Hi. I don't have any tips, sorry but just to say that I know exactly what you're going through. DD, who is now 17 weeks, went through this a couple of weeks ago, and I was just on my knees with exhaustion. I asked my HV what to do, as people had been telling me to wean etc, and she said no...DD was fine and that the frequent waking was either a) her teeth moving in her ums or b) a growth spurt. I took some comfort in knowing tnat it was only temporary, and gave in to it. I fed her whenever she wanted it, but laying down in bed. That way I could doze off and she would fall asleep at the breast and naturally fall off the boob herslef. That way we both got some sleep. Now she's over it and is sleeping better than before, so no long term effects. HTH

Hermykyne, same tip as Marmaladesun - my ds (10 weeks) now goes to sleep in his cot from 7-11pm ish and then wakes for goodness knows how many feeds throughout the night. I just have him in bed with me from when he wakes at 11 or whatever and let him latch on whenever he likes (I can then stay asleep). I love sleeping with the new man in my life snoring and farting in my arms

Need help please!
Ds wakes every 2-21/2 hrs for feed.I know a lot of the feeds are comfort feeds but has any one got tips on getting him to sleep longer. He is nearly 6mths old and I am trying to get him used to the cup. Also having a work night out(my first night out) and I am worried about leaving him cause D/h will panic and has no way of comforting him ie with a bottle etc
