Blocked ducts - help!

I’m 5 months into a painful breastfeeding journey and now feeling bloody stupid for battling this long without stopping and going on to formula.
Anyway I’ve had tons of support from NHS and private lactation consultants (TT divided at 1 week old) as well as cranial osteopathy but DD has never achieved a deep latch. It got marginally more bearable at about 14 weeks but for the last two weeks her latch has deteriorated again. Feeding is agony and I’m now stuck with blocked ducts in one boob. She screams when I try to latch her on as the milk just will not flow.
I’m using hot compresses, Epsom salt baths in the hakaa pump, massage. What else can I do? My pump is barely getting anything out.

I really regret breastfeeding now and wish I’d not been so stubborn and thrown the towel in earlier.

Try standing under a hot shower or a bowel of warm water for your breast to be in while massaging? Failing that speak to your go/out of hours incase you have mastitis.

Breast feeding can be ridiculously hard but well done for doing so well for so long!Flowers

Electric toothbrush/vibrator (!) in the shower under hot water to try and clear the duct. Hand expressing if baby can’t latch on.
I’m sorry you’re having such a rough time

Check you don't actually have dried milk blocking a duct on your nipple. I once spent hours trying to clear a clog only for it to be a hard piece of dried milk that once I scratched off, started spraying like mad.

Thanks all. After a very painful long feed I think she’s cleared it. However I expect it to happen in a few days again as I had a milk blister over the new year which I lanced with a sterilised needle and had tons of milk come out.
I’m ready to stop breastfeeding now after so many problems. Anyone have any advice on the most comfortable way to do this?
