I have a 5 week old ds and the past week or so i've chosen to co-sleep as i was finding it impossible to sttle him in his basket after night feeds.

Now he only wakes up between 2-4 times a night for a feed i just roll over and feed him till he's fast asleep and then i fall asleep. I don't wind him. I am now wondering if i should?

Also he's very sicky. Am I a bad mum for not changing him every tim he's sick during the night? (i do mop up the sick around his face and clothes)

You don't need to worry about winding him IME BF babies just fart away merrily on their own

As for the sick, I think that's up to you, if he's dry and his face is clean then I don't think you need to worry about getting him up and bathing/changing his clothes.

If he's wet with sick though, I'd change him because he might get sore, perhaps keep a couple of spare babygros by bed?

No you're not a bad mum - god the number of times mine have woken up stinking of old cheese with solid clothes on and the sheet stuck to the back of their head. Get some sleep - that's the priority! Sleeping when you can makes you a GOOD mum cos then you're able to care for your baby better!

My trick when they're particularly sicky is LAYERING: 2-3 t shirts easily whipped off in succession (don't use a vest etc if you're worried about over heating), and a baby sheet on top of bedsheets, with a spare to hand if they sick while lying on it.

or just go for the crispy sheets as above

I still bf and co-sleep with my 11 month old ds2, he still wakes a lot in the night but they are all different. My ds1 was bf and co-slept with but didn't wake much and dd was bottle fed and co-slept and she woke up lots for milk. I wouldn't worry about it and I don't think you're a bad mum for not changing him every time he's sick as that will just disturb him. I only change if necessary during the night.

Sounds like you're doing great berry. Remember that babies don't give a stuff about lying in sick/having baths all the time and being winded unless they are in pain! They like booby and mummies like sleep so sounds like you've got it sussed.
