Im asking as I dont know if this is a good or a bad thing, or if it matters at all? (sorry for seeing thick! lol) dd is 23 months, and use to have one bottle of milk before she went to bed in case she hadnt eaten enough during the day. she has been refusing to have a bottle of milk for the past couple of weeks, and was wondering if this is ok? the only other milk intake she has is in her cereal for breakfast, or a yoghut if i have them in. just double checking, thanks. xxx

I would think that if you make sure she's getting calcium in other ways, like cheese or yoghurts, then it should be OK.

Have you tried giving it to her in a cup rather than a bottle? It might be the bottle she's rejecting, rather than the milk.

it sounds as if she's not hungry, doesn't it? maybe give her a smaller cup of milk as her drink at teatime instead, if you want to keep the calcium levels up? imho it's rather useful at this age to get out of the bedtime bottle, but that's just for toothbrushing reasons.

DS hasnt had a bottle of milk since he was about 11 months. He has drinks of milk and milk on cereal, yogurts and cheese so I wouldnt worry!

In fact Id be quite pleased she has ditched them - saves you a job later.

thanks guys. just wanted to double check that its okay. may try a cup of milk later and see if she still wants it. if she doesnt, then ill presume shes full
