Posseting after feeding - when did it stop?

DS is 16 weeks old and is still posseting after each feed. He doesn't just do it once but at at least three times after a feed and not always straight away, sometimes about an hour after a feed. He has always done this since birth, but when does it stop?

Mine posseted loads - i'm suprised he ever grew at all it stopped once he was sitting up and mobile can't remember exactly but perhaps 6 months.

Between 5 and 6 months. DD posseted an awful lot but managed to stay on or above the 99th centile.

Some babies will always do it!

Does he burp well, my worst posseters had trouble burping and I would have to stop the bottle a few times and burp them and it did decrease some of what came up. Also perhaps his milk does not agree with him? What bottles does he use? For some reason I've found the baby's that drank from Nuk's(my preferred bottles) posseted more than the babies that drank from Avent.

Until he stops you'll just have to be prepared with spare changes of clothes for both of you and muslins and bibs

12 months! hang on in there - some of them just do. If it's any comfort, my pukey baby did not grow into a pukey child - he hasn't vomited for years

dd1 bf for 6 months stopped posseting (or rather throwing up) almost as soon as I started giving formula.
ds1 bf still at 9 months posseted a lot until about 6 or 7 months, still does occasionally now. Was never as bad as dd though. My mil has told me that her 4 were all pukers so I kind of expected it second time round.

23 weeks, still posseting. Growing very fast though so she's keeping enough in.

dd1 never possetted and I was puzzled by all the bibs I was given and the muslins I was advised to buy.

dd2 was quite a bad posseter (?spelling) but has slightly improved over the last few weeks - is now 16 weeks. I now understand how essential muslins are - in fact I have been out twice to buy more. It is not uncommon for me to wash 10-20 bibs daily. Hope it gets better soon.

Posseting is such an annoying thing and then suddenly you realise that they haven't done it for ages and you haven't even noticed! I guess for us it must have been around the 8/9 month stage - perhaps it's when they've become more established on solids? Sorry, that must seem way ahead and not what you want to hear!
