Anyone know of a portable cooler for ebm???

Been discussing this on another thread... There are loads of products onthe market for warming bottles on the go, things that plug in to cigarette lighters and normal plugs... but there seems to be nothing that can be used to keep ebm cool while away from home and with no access to a fridge or freezer (there are plenty of things you can use that need a frozen ice pack to work) I'm going away for 10 days and I want to keep expressing for my ds as he has it as an evening top up. As his evening feed is more than 10 hours after when I'll be expressing, I really need to keep it cool, but the hotel we'll be in doesn't have minibars in the room. There are so many baby gadgets out there, I've got a fantastic teeeny steriliser, but what about a milk cooler? Anyone seen anything (as a last resort I might buy one of those tiny fridges, but I was hoping for something a little less bulky)

Sorry for rambling, I hope I've explained myself properly!

Are you going by car? You can buy v v small portable fridges. I gave one away recently on freecycle.

Other than that I can't think of anything.

I can only think of the little fridges too. I did want ask where you got the little steriliser form though.

Dal, that's exactly what I was thinking of... ouch at the price, but I guess it's something we'll use again and again. Quite handy for the next time we drive down to the south of france or something!

Stefka.... this is the steriliser I bought I thought it should be fine for a couple of bottles and breast pump stuff. Might have to do a couple of goes to do everything then, but it's the smallest one I could find

i know...i thought that re. the price but then thought the same as you. will be spot on for trips etc where a cooler like this will be used. thats how i justified the price. I too had to get it because have a few nights coming up away from DS and I want to be able to replace the stash of frozen ebm that has been used up - as opposed to pumping to relieve engorgement and then dumping....would be such a waste!

Hotels will usually have a fridge that you can put milk in - just ask at reception.
Or get one of those mini fridges designed for keeping a couple of cans cold in - I think Woolies and Argos both have them for 20 quid or so.
