How much power pumping before I see increase in supply?

I have a 13mo DS who loves boob but I've always combi fed due to low supply. I was hoping with time I could ditch the bottles but it seems my supply is continuing to dip and his intake of formula is still increasing with time. I hate pumping but want to prolong BF as long as possible so am happy to give power pumping one last go. I've never really seen a difference before but I was never consistent. How long do I power pump in the evenings before noticing an increase?

TIA

I'd talk to a BFing Counsellor on one of the BFing Helplines @Theywereonabreak.

There's no need for formula at all after 12 months, if he was not having any BM at all, he'd only need 300 ml of full fat cows milk a day.

I'd definitely give one of the Helplines a call in the morning though, they can actually answer your question, unlike me Smile

Nobody was able to take my call today. Just bumping in case anyone's been in a similar situation.

In the same situation, unfortunately I couldn’t get my supply up with power pumping (or anything, and I tried everything!!). Had loads of support with breastfeeding, in the end they confirmed I had low supply and nothing was making a difference. You’ve done so well to get this far, at 13 months I don’t think they really need any milk anymore, so I’d just carry on as you are - pumping is a bitch, not sure it’s worth the heartache, I feel I lost out on a lot with the constant pumping!!

At 13 months I'd stop the formula completely and just breastfeed him. He'll be having meals so won't go hungry.
