is the dosage correct for his weight? ds' needed changing very frequently to remain effective.

Davidsmom · 04/12/2007 01:20

Yes- the bnfc site link was for the doses. Sorry perhaps not clear.

nappyaddict · 04/12/2007 01:35

i know but sparkly hasn't posted back so i wanted to know if she'd sorted this by realising the dosage wasn't right or if she still needs our advice.

HeyThereNappiesGalore · 04/12/2007 01:36

Aw sparkly, im so sorry youre having such ahard time? wish I could pop round right now and take over for a couple of hours and let you sleep, just to get some battery recharge yourself.

I know is completely different coz mine wasn?t preemie or being watched like a hawk by hv?s etc? but ds 1 was v pukey baby too ? thought they all were till ds2 came along and wasn?t like that at all. the brill thing about it being breastmilk is that even if its only down a little while, he still would?ve taken loads of goodness out of it. He is gaining weightso that?s good.

I wish there was more I could do to help

sparklygothkat · 04/12/2007 08:46

doesage has been adjusted and seems to be working again.. fingers crossed

hi sparkly - ranitadine is really weight dependent

DS had his dose adjusted quite frequently

hope things continue to improve

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 04/12/2007 08:49

Sparkly, am I right in thinking your ds has a cold? Ds wasn't a puker per se, but would always puke when he had a mucus and snot overload from a cold.

purplemonkeydishwasher · 04/12/2007 08:52

my DS was a puker as well. (made me glad i wasn't paying for the milk!) and he put on loads of weight too. as others have said that's the great thing about BM. it does good even if it's only down there for a little while.

HeyThereNappiesGalore · 04/12/2007 09:25

how are you and he today sparkly? have you had any sleep at all?
thinking of you.

sparklygothkat · 04/12/2007 12:24

i ended up co-sleeping last night, just to get some sleep. the reflux is back under control, but he is still snotty.. am sooo tired still

snap, had ds3 in with me all night too. no idea whats up with him atm but he seems mostly fine in the day...

are you on your own today? with callum i mean... is anyone able to come round and let you have even a one hour power nap? i feel for you, its horrific being so tired you can barely think but still needing to be compassionate and gentle and patient and calm...

sparklygothkat · 04/12/2007 13:06

DH is home, but had to go to a secondary school this morning and look around for Ds1 and then pick him back up from a different school which he had gone to for a gifted and talented group, and drop him back to his school. Callum has just had a feed and now I have housework to do,

OP posts:
nappyaddict · 04/12/2007 15:02

get dh to do the housework!

NappiesLaGloriainexcelsis · 04/12/2007 15:07

only do what will make you depressed not to have done, iyswim. no good having a tidy house if your body and soul are falling to bits!

sparklygothkat · 04/12/2007 17:10

didn't do the housework, i fell asleep on the sofa.

Well done - your family need you to be rested much more than they need hoovered carpets etc! Unless you have wild squirrels and badgers frolicking on the ancestral hearth - that might need attention
