Fussy five month feeder in the mornings

Hi, my 5mo DD is such a fussy feeder in the mornings. All she wants to do is babble into my boob and spit milk everywhere Grin

Any ideas? She’s gaining weight well and all the other indicators she’s getting plenty so guess it’s not really too much of a problem...

But I wonder if maybe she has too much overnight and it’s time to try drop a night feed? She currently has a 5oz bottle of EBM around 10/11pm then typically wakes again and is breastfeed about 2am and 4/5am.

She’s a super speedy feeder and rarely is on the boob for more than 7 or 8 mins, night or day.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I would either drop a night feed or wait abit before feeding in the morning.
Enjoy the morning chat how sweet!

It is very cute admittedly @Purple21! She’s such a chatterbox at the minute. Any advice on dropping a night feed? I’m not really sure how to do it!

Does she have a dummy?
Is she crying to be fed?
Or is she just waking up?

She does have a dummy yes. There’s definitely a difference between her feed wake ups and other random wake ups where I can just replug her dummy and she’ll settle straight away... she won’t settle at those times without a feed currently

I would maybe hang on a little bit for morning feed then, even 10 mins can make a difference.
Would she be better with a bottle on a morning do you think?
Otherwise she sounds very happy!

You’re right I probably need to delay the feed a bit. She might do okay with a bottle but I can’t be bothered expressing any more than I already do! X
