Bottle feeding on flight

I'm due to fly with my 9 month DD and I'm wondering how to bring the sterilised water on the plane. I know It has to be in the baby bottle. The max is 100ml per bottle but they don't fit in the plastic bags for liquid. I will have to bring like 3 bottle for 2 feedings at least. Any recommendations? Thank you !

Is there a reason you can’t bring the pre-prepared bottles/cartons? It would make your life so much easier!

I will have to buy them at the airport I think as the max is 100ml on liquids ¿

You can take bottles of water for babies feeds, there isn't the same restrictions as for other drinks and liquids. Cartons of readymade formula would make life a lot easier though as you wouldn't have to worry about getting hold of boiling water to make up the formula safely.

The limits don't apply to baby food and formula

Pre order from boots and collect the ready made stuff through security.

Oh if there are no limits I will bring readymade formula ! Thanks

They allow pre-mixed through through fine. On one flight I had when ds1 was 5 months old, they put it in some kind of scanner and determined it was fine. O don't think they even checked it on the return.

Yeah the limit is more generous for infant feeding products and they scan / dip test it. I exclusively pumped for DS and we went to. Portugal when he was 8 months old so they had to scan and test my breastmilk 😂

This was a few years ago now, but I had bought the bottles of pre-made milk. They made me open each one and drink some at security! So they were pretty much useless as they need to be used within a short amount of time. Like a previous poster has said, pre order from boots and just collect when you are through security.

Grin or should that be 🤮

The water would be cold though so no use for sterilising the formula? You need to make up bottles with water that's at least 70 degrees Celsius to kill the bacteria in the milk.

I agree with others that pre made formula is best to use while travelling.
