Bottles for transitioning to feeding expressed milk??

Thinking of introducing bottles for DD so that she can occasionally have expressed milk if I am not around.

She is almost 5 months old so am thinking I may have left it a bit late to introduce this but still worth a go.

Any advice for bottles that have a widespread success rate? I know it depends on baby but surely there must be some bottles that are more likely to be received than others?

Tried the Medela calma(?) bottle today which DD just chewed on - have to admit it looks and feels odd myself so probably not the best to start with.

Also just wondering whether it is possible to introduce bottles but only use them when I am out on an evening/away for the day - or does it have to be a more regular once a day thing so that she gets used to it?

Do they still sell Breastflow bottles? Had some success with DS with these.

Sorry...no... discontinued.
Nuk, MAM, also were recommended to me. A bit fast, and not at all like a breastfeeding shape, but easier for some.

I'll have a look at NUK & MAM bottles though am a bit sceptical about whether I will have any success.

At one of her first appointments with the midwife she was diagnosed with mild tongue tie (hadn't noticed this myself) but had gained back her birth weight and more so no concerns.

She is currently on the 91st centile line and EBF so feeding well. However tried her with a dummy and it seems as if she struggles to get the sucking motion - not sure if it's just because it's a new thing, or the shape of the particular dummy or related to the tongue tie so am fearful that the same will happen with bottles.

Typing this I am wondering if I should get it looked at again? But at the moment it doesn't seem as if it's causing any problems esp seen as feeding is going well & movement doesn't appear to be restricted (in my eyes anyway).

Following this as I'm having a similar issue with DD, 3 months!
She took a tommee tippee in the first week but then we went EBF and she isn't interested now, just chews the teats and looks confused! Same with dummies, gives them a good old chew but doesn't get the sucking action.
She very briefly sucked on a NUK bottle with a latex teat that I tried a few days ago but hasn't done the same since, just chews the teat and gets increasingly annoyed that I'm putting it in her mouth and spits out any breast milk she does manage to get out!
We're trying her with a sippy cup too and she does seem to like that more than the bottles but still not really getting the sucking action! Have you thought about trying a sippy cup instead? Messier but worth a go!

@Riggles78 it's tough isn't it!

Yeah I have thought about using a sippy cup - especially since we are looking at starting weaning soon anyway.

May try her with a few different teat styles & move on if no joy.
