Battling between bfing and covid vaccine.

I have a 2 week old baby, I've been bfing. In my area we have been offered to get a covid vaccine.

I want to continue bfing but also think getting the vaccine can protect my family and baby.
The only issue is that if i get the vaccine i would give up on bfing as I feel the research is way to new and new things keep cropping up after things have deemed to be safe. And i would not be comfortable at all not fully knowing the long term effects.
Im really confused. Has anyone been in a similar situation ? What did u decide to do? Im thinking maybe bf for 4 months atleast and then get a vaccine. Or just bf for as long as I can and be at potential risk of getting the virus naturally. It might not effect me that much? Advice me please.

I've just had my second dose and I'm BF a four month old. I decided the risks were minimal and the GP/nurses I've spoken to were more than happy for me to have it

@OnlyFoolsnMothers, I quite agree. The bullying has already started within my own family, simply because I've said that I'm delaying for now, whilst breastfeeding.

The bullying is going start from some person in my family (husbands) we decided we might just tell a white lie or say the time isnt right at the moment but will get it in the future. At the end of the day ladies its ur body and u decide what goes inside it, no one can force you to do anything u arent comfortable. Its hard times making decisions and choices for pregnant/bfing ladies.

Absolutely, OP. All we can do is to know the advice, do our own research and make our own minds up. I wish it wasn't a difficult decision, but it is.

Has anyone had any neurological issues since getting the Pfizer vaccine and have continued breastfeeding? I got my first dose almost 6 weeks ago and I’ve had terrible feelings of numbness all over my body, tingling, burning sensations, pressure in head, muscle twitches, insomnia, no appetite, ringing in ears, dizziness. I’m just wondering if it’s still safe for me to breastfeed and if anyone has experienced anything like this. I’m really struggling. I’m 32, was extremely healthy before getting the vaccine. I’ve been using my juicer to juice vegetables and taking a multivitamin to see if that helps.. my symptoms have eased a little bit but are still there every day and im starting to get worried that they are chronic.

I had the vaccine while breastfeeding. Passed antibodies on to my baby which is obviously great. No negative side effects at all. Was very obviously the right thing to do.
