Should I keep pumping once nothing coming out?

I'm using an electric pump but only able to make an ounce. Trying to increase supply so I can transition baby to combination feeding, but very little coming.
Once the half ounce each breast is making is pumped out, is it worth keeping the pump on even when nothing is coming out? Or should I just give up? Thanks!

To increase my breast milk intake fenugreek which works wonders for me and I pumped in the hour every hour. Also let baby try to feed as much as possible as they are pro at this

In terms of upping your supply with the pump there are a few things you can try

  • eating oats
  • drinking plenty of water
  • drinking a herbal tea such as Mother's Milk
  • power pumping, this is where you pump both breasts simultaneously for 20 minutes, rest for 10 minutes, pump for 10 minutes, rest for 10 minutes then a final pump for 10 minutes. This mimics cluster feeding and if you do one power pumping session per day for about a week this should increase supply.

Yes, keep pumping for maybe 3 mins after the last drops of milk come out. This will help supply.
