Can you do half ounces on perfect prep machine?

I bought the original and DD takes 7.5 ounces of milk. The perfect prep doesn't allow me to turn the dial to this and will only let me do 7 or 8 ounces. Does anyone else have this problem or is it just my machine?

No you are meant to use formula to the ounce? It only does set numbers. Just make an 8 and discard the rest. Won’t be long in taking the full 8 anyway give it a couple of weeks

@Fromneverland the formula I use, uses mls not ounces? Atm baby takes 210ml which is around 7.5 ounces. I'll just do to 8 ounces and Chuck a bit

Do you know if you can do 2oz with the perfect prep machine.
I've yet to use mine, but I heard somewhere that the smallest you can do is 4oz.

Fromneverland · 06/04/2021 17:49

Ah I have only ever prepared with milk that goes to the oz. just offer the extra half oz baby will probably take it if not now they will soon!

SassyPants87 · 06/04/2021 17:49

@JustYourAverageSue yeah you can only do a minimum of 4 ounces! So it's not so ideal for newborns

Just do 8oz and if baby drinks it then all good! If not, just throw that bit away.

JustYourAverageSue · 06/04/2021 17:52

That's annoying. I've bought some ready made to start off with, but I was thinking maybe I could decant the other two ounces into another bottle for the next feed. I expect that's probably frowned upon though.

Better to do slightly more than the baby needs and chuck some away than encouraging them to finish a bottle anyway.
