Breastfeeding at night, formula in day

Hi! I decided to formula feed.
But preparing the bottles at night is such a timesconsuming process it's killing any sleep opportunity.
Should I breastfeed at night? Is this even a thing?
How do I go about this? Thanks!

Why not breastfeed during the day too? How old is your baby? Have you bf at all?

Why not just breastfeed all the time? Nothing wrong with either, just trying to understand your reasoning.
You really need to feed regularly for the first 6 weeks at least or your supply will be all over the place.

I think you can do this only when supply has been established. How old is baby?

Night time is when prolactin hormone is at its highest so it’s not a bad idea to BF at night.

I know what you mean with the bottle faff though, recently switched to FF and omg there’s ALWAYS something to do, way easier to just flop a tit out.

Waaaay easier to breastfeed. Just reach over for the baby, pop your boob out and done.

It doesn't have to be time consuming, prep machine, steriliser on once a day and bottles in the dishwasher. You can even use ready made formula at night.
I didn't ever want to BF though as my mum did for 2 years with my sister so it really put me off knowing how hard she had to try to get my sister off it.

I did it for my Ds ( who is now 24 )
Worked fine . Bottles kept him full in the day and breastmilk was enough at night and first thing in morning.

You would probably need to establish breast feeding first. DD1 was ff from 6 weeks and DD was combi feed and ebf from 6 weeks. FF is such a faff.
