Any health benefits in mixed feeding?

I reckon we'll hopefully get to 6 months exclusively bfing dd which is what my initial goal was. The plan is then to introduce some formula for the odd feed, gradually increasing the frequency.
Question is, is it worth continuing bfing for health benefits or are they cancelled out by not being exclusive?
Cheers again for all your help. x

breastmilk always has health benefits, no matter what else your baby is fed, and breastfeeding always has emotional benefits well done on getting to 6 months, it can be tough going sometimes i know

AFAIK, continuing to breastfeed for however long, even mixed, has it's benefits, so if you wish to/need to mix feed (often mothers go back to work at this time and have to mix feed) then baby will still get the benefits of breastfeeding.
Having said that you may start making bottles and realise it's a lot more time consuming and decide not to stop!

How long have you breastfed for so far? and well done.

We're on 5 months and a week so the end is in sight!
Went back to work part time at 3 months so it's been a bit of a mammoth expressing time since then hence the possibility of formula at 6 months.
Thanks for the support.
