I have one and loved it. I used it mostly for bedtime feeds, inlaws bought it for us. FIL got one for his birthday yesterday. Must admit though dh uses it more than me.

i have loved mine...

we got a cheapie one tho'. still a gilder rocker but not so much luxurious cushioning.

spoil yourself!

I love mine too. I also got a cheap one off ebay (new)
I deliberately got a dark coloured one so it would match our sofa when it is moved down stairs

not really worth it imo. i was having trouble getting dd into position when she was a few months old and fil very kindly bought me a glider chair for a couple of hundred pounds. I think i got a few months use out of it because being quite short, i couldn't get properly comfortable. it's a mothercare one and it's currently languishing in a corner of our bedroom covered in laundry because we moved house and couldn't fit in in teh living room. I think i'll feel guilty about this one for a long time.

Probably, if you can afford it and don't mind the slightly clinical design. I BF mine anywhere in the house and I found a sling useful (never tried a glider, though).

I think that they are probably one of those things that you love if you have, but don't miss if you don't.

Well, I wish I had got one when my first baby came along, I breastfed him for over a year and dd was breastfed for slightly longer, around 15 months.
I think I would have used it more with our first baby, as you tend to spend more time just sitting feeding, because you can .
2nd time around, ime, you don't get so much time, although still good for night time feeds.
The only reason we didn't get one was because I couldn't justify the cost to myself, as had stopped work when first baby came along.
Sorry for the long bla de bla..........
My advice - get one if you can afford it! and get the best you can afford, try them all out if you can, John Lewis stock them and mothercare have them in their mum & baby rooms.

I love my glider chair, love my poang(s) but bfed on the sofa, where I could spread out.

DontCallMeBaby · 04/11/2007 21:37

I had one, bloody awful - am not particularly tall (though not overly short either) and somewhat low-slung norks, so there was just no space for for DD, what with the arms on the chair! It was creaky and squeaky as well, and not cheap - fortunately managed to sell it for more than we paid for it.

not a stylish hom addition methinks I use the sofa more rooom for my cake etc
