Crying with feeding

My 1month old always been good feeder. Breastfeeding support said to feed one boob, change nappy to wake her up to the feed off second boob.
Last few days with every feed, we do the one boob no issue, change nappy all well. But then during second boob it doesn't take long for her to start crying on the boob and then be unsettled for ages after. She wiggles like she's over indulged and cries. It's like indigestion pain but we've burped successfully.
Anyone else get this? What does it mean. Eventually she settles absolutely fine. Do you think she could eat too much?!

I'm not quite sure why BFing support told you to do that. I'd feed her and if she starts going to sleep, swap her over and try her on the other breast but if she's determined to go to sleep, just let her sleep.

Thanks bunny. Possibly because she had a low birth weight and we needed to make sure she had max food?? Not sure! She's putting weight on like a crazy thing now so that's certainly not the issue.

What do you do if they don't want second boob? Express it or just leave it and start on that one next?

As long as you're happy with the weight gain, and it does sound good, I'd just offer the other one next time.

If you did want to build up a store of ebm in the freezer, you could always express from the other breasts thirst she's feeding a couple of times a day, but only if you want to Smile

I’d just leave second boob and start with that next time. No need to express unless you want to start making a stash for bottle feeding.

My DS would only take from one boob at a time before he’d had enough. My DD was greedy and would have both then sick the second one up EVERY SINGLE TIME! She’s still greedy now at 3 whereas my DS (6) doesn’t eat that much really and stops when he has had enough.
