Omeprazole

Any tips on how to get a 7 week old baby to take omeprazole?
The pharmacist made it up into a solution and the paediatrician told me to mix it with a little milk in a bottle.
So I expressed a bit of milk and mixed it in but he's just refusing it and spitting it out.
I only expressed a tiny bit of milk as I was worried if he didn't drink it all he wouldn't get his full dose.
Should I try more milk tomorrow to disguise the taste a bit better?
Should add he's breastfed but does take 1 bottle a day from my dh with no issue so it's not the bottle itself thats a problem .

I think I used a 2 ml syringe and mixed it with cooled boiled water, just a few drops, to let it dissolve. It didn't taste nice I'm sure but it meant I knew she was having the whole dose. When they get bigger you can mix it with some fruit purée... pear purée worked best for us. Again just a small amount. Missing it in the lid of a bottle works really well as the surface makes it easy to pick up all the omeprazole so you know you have given the full dose. Try to give it to your baby 20-30 mins before a feed if possible.

The pharmacist already made it into a liquid solution so I don't have to do that thankfully but the baby just literally won't drink it Sad
He feeds every 2 hours (or less) through the day, as soon as he's woken from a nap he's clamouring to be fed so I don't think I could manage 20-30 minutes before feeding him unfortunately. As he gets older I'm sure he'll feed and sleep less in the day and it will be easier.

I use a small syringe, much easier than a bottle.

I lay baby across my knee and give it to her in small squirts. Syringe right at the back of her cheek, next to where her molars would be, squirt a bit in and don’t remove the syringe from her mouth or she can spit it out.
