Wasn't sure where to post this - have done a search and can't find any messages that have asked this question...
My 7wk old DD2 was put on to ranitidine and gaviscon a few days ago due to having silent reflux by the surgical nurse (she has lots of other problems too and is having an operation in a few weeks time).
Anyway, when she was out of the room it dawned on me that I should check if we should continue using the infacol too so I asked her colleague. She said she couldn't see any reason not to use it (not sure if she was qualified to the same level as the surgical nurse though).
So, we're administering countless amounts of medicine per day - ranitidine three times, antibiotics once and gaviscon in each feed as well as infacol just before each feed. I tend to give her the ranitidine before every other feed and I'm not sure if I should give it before or after the infacol (isn't it meant to line the stomach?).
Its only been a few days but so far we haven't seen a massive improvement - should I stop giving her the infacol, doesn't it do the same thing as the ranitidine? I don't want to overdose her on stuff bless her but she suffers terribly with her wind...
Cheers in advance!
