Hi

Is it possible to make up a bottle with hot/ warm water and then by the time they need it it will be an ok temperature? Is this safe to do?

This is for when out and about.

Sorry ftm and dumb! Grin

No, I don't think so. I always found this a pain.

I think you have to take powder, clean bottle and a flask with freshly boiled water. Make it up, cool it down again, then feed it.

My newborn fuzzy head couldn't cope so I just bought ready made for out and about and saved powder for house.

Formula will last 2h at room temp, up to 4h if you take an ice pack and keep it cool - some changing bags have an insulated compartment.

If you can afford it, buy the premade bottles for out and about. So much less faff. Otherwise, what @LemonLemonLemon said.

I'm planning on using Kendamil and they don't do ready made.

My thinking is that the bottle would have cooled down to drinking temp in the hours out the house. Which seems easier than carrying around a flask of hot water and cooled boiled water.

You need to make bottles as needed, reduces risk of infection.

You can actually get the baby to take cold milk straight away, by passing the need for warming.
