Experiences of Elvie double pump

I am almost (90%) exclusively pumping and using a hospital grade medela pump which is big and requires me to stay in one place whilst I pump (plugged in to electric). As I would like to continue giving breast milk to my baby I am thinking about investing in the Elvie double handsfree pump and am looking for anyone's experience with it and would you recommend it? I would like the double pump to ensure I keep getting a good yield of milk. With my current pump i can get anything from 130 to 290 ml in one session of double pumping. Have you found the Elvie pump to be efficient?

Sinilar setup to you - I had the Medela symphony and the Elive (but only a single one as it was only for when I was out). I didn't find the Elvie nearly as efficient I'm afraid although it was a handy stopgap when I was out all day - definitely better than other portables and more discreet (not actually invisible/silent though - I'd use it in the car or at a push in 'public' under a hoodie, but not in the office!).

Thanks for the reply @MotherOfCrocodiles. I thought that might be the case, it is a shame that it doesn't get as much milk out, for the price I would want it to be as efficient as my other pump as well as having the benefit of being wireless and handsfree.

I've used several pumps and found I just respond well to a pump so got similar amounts with elvie, hand pump, basic electric and haaka. I got more from my hospital grade ardo one, but not massively. I did mainly bf though. I got about 400ml per day from pumping.

My friend (who I was pumping for) bought me the elvie. She used it and it was too inefficient for her and she dried up. She gave it me and it was fine for me.

Negatives- hard to clean, like really hard. Takes longer to charge than you can pump for, isn't as discrete as advertised, the red and green flashing lights are pretty hard to disguise. I found it leaked a fair bit.

Pros - quite discrete, quiet, mobile.

Not worth the money unless you really need to mobilise out of the house whilst pumping.
