Quick question about Aptamil

I am a bit nervous about posting this as I don't want to start a big thread/arguement about bf vs ff - I know all the issues about marketing etc and fully agree. I just have one genuine question. I was looking at the new Aptamil packaging (or at least new since last time I had a baby) with the polar bear on it and I noticed that it had one of those nonsencial made up marketing words on in "now with immunofortis" or something like that to imply had something in it good for baby's immune systems. When I looked at the ingredients it had a simillar bollocks word like immuno something and then (fibre 0.8g). Does this mean the special immune boosting ingredient is just plain old fibre? Surely not! Surely this would be against trade descriptions etc?

tbh i suspect it is illegal. they're not suppost to advertise all this immuno crap anymore....

It might be a prebiotic (as opposed to a probiotic). I've just been reading about them and some are added to baby milk.

It's a nonsense word for some kind of patented blend of prebiotics.

oh that is vaguley to do with the immune system then i suppose .... thanks

this link should take you to stuff about prebiotics. possibly the same 'immunofortis' since Nutricia is the parent company of Aptamil.
