How can I make my baby take a bottle?

My little one is 6 weeks old and will not take a bottle. We have tried my husband feeding her without me anywhere near, but she still refuses, either plays around with it in her mouth or fusses and starts crying. I’ve been using Phillips Avent bottles but have just ordered some Mam ones in the hope that they will be accepted by her... it’s really getting me down now as I would like to be able to leave her with my husband or mum if I need to go anywhere, knowing she can be fed while I’m not there. Really need some ‘me’ time, but there’s no way I can atm when I am chained to little one 24/7. Please help!

My LG refused bottles and tbh after a while it was a battle not worth fighting.

I have heard that sticking with one bottle type and just keep trying can help, but I'm not sure.

My son was combi fed and had zero issues going between bottle and breast. Part of me thinks it's just some breastfed babies don't like bottles.

While it is exhausting now it does get easier I promise.

By around 3 months my daughter could go about 3 hours between feeds. It meant I had to plan things around her feed times but that was ok. I could also feed her, go out for a bit by myself and then feed her when I got back.

It's not like this forever and it does get better.

I had a total bottle refuser, tried from 3/4 weeks and she wouldn’t have any of it so like the above PP i didn’t see the point in the battle. I tried every bottle under the sun i think, I spent a small fortune.

Weaned her at 6 months and happily took water from any kind of cup, now she’s 9 months and I gave her an expressed bottle most days, now she can hold the bottle herself she absolutely loves it and lays happily having her bottle. The ironic thing is it’s a £1 bottle from Asda with their 6month + teet, after all I spent on bloody bottles!

There were days when I felt a bit trapped by it but they are only little for so long and by about 3/4 months she had big enough gaps between feeds that I could pop out and know she will be fine! It’s hard OP, you have my sympathy

My son would only take a latch bottle tried every other brand. Found latch bottle I. Tkmax by chance and it worked . Amazon sell them. I think the teat in advent are quite firm saying that my oldest son would only drink from advent bottles

Please don't worry.
It's unlikely that if you're only away for a few hours she'll go hungry.
What I mean is, some babies regulate so that they feed more when you're there and go without when you're gone. Other babies need the regular pattern so will feed from whatever's available when you're not there and she's hungry.

However, not all babies will take a bottle. It's because it feels totally different and acts different.
What you can do is when another person feeds your baby, that they give small amounts on a spoon or with a syringe.
At 6 weeks your baby doesn't take a lot really (I bet you can find a graphic somewhere), and a lotbif the feeding pattern is creating the mechanics for the source (probably why she just plays with the teat rather than sucking at it - she's telling it how to feed her).
When you need to leave her she'll be okay.
