Formula Question

Our little girl is 15 weeks old and is currently mostly breast fed but we introduced formula 6-7 weeks ago to keep up with her demand.
We are using cow and gate hungry baby and first milk and seems to be working so far.
We have seen the powdered hungry baby but the instructions to make it up are a bit confusing to me - Boil kettle wait half hour then make up bottle- seems counter productive as it's for a " hungry baby" so not sure she will wait!!
Is it ok to do the bit with the water -boil kettle and wait 30 mins in bulk (2-3 bottles worth) then add the formula as needed throughout the day to the cooled water and then warming it up.
Any help/ suggestions welcome as just want to get it right to keep my baby girl happy and full.
Thanks in advance.

The NHS guidance on making up formula is the safest way. We have a kettle which boils water and the holds it at 70 degrees which is the minimum temp required to kill off any potentially harmful bacteria in it. Once made it should be used then. If cooled and reheated bacteria can build up again. Hungry baby formula can also not be the best for wee tummy's but obviously that's up to you as parents.

We had a perfect prep machine for our twins but when we were out we took two flasks. One of boiled water and one with cooled boiled water. We would then put a few ounces of boiling water in the bottle, add the formula, mix and then top up to the right amount with the cooled boiled water. This is how the perfect prep machine makes the milk and our twins were absolutely fine.

We do exactly the same as PP above with two flasks when out

As above posters. The important thing is that the formula has to go in the hot water to kill of the bacteria in the powder. It's not just the water that's the issue if you see what I mean.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I'm sure it will become easier to make up bottles as per instructions as the days go on..doing it for first time today and so far no meltdown while waiting Smile
