Anxious about Bottle Feeding

Hi everyone!
Hoping for some advice please...
I am planning to bottle feed my baby when she is born in around 4 weeks (eeek!) and as a first time mum I feel really confused and overwhelmed about how much I will be feeding her.
I have found some rough guidelines, but I’m worried I’m going to get it wrong, and either over feed her or not give her enough. I guess I’m just after some reassurance that it is easier when the baby is here, rather than trying to plan for it 😥
I have bought ready made bottles which I will be giving her for the first week while she settles in, is it just a case of 1 (90ml) every 2-3 hours as she needs it?
Really hoping it’s something that clicks into place, as I feel like I’m overthinking it and my anxiety is getting in the way!
Any advice and reassurance would be appreciated ❤️ X

Honestly don’t over think it, the midwives helped me loads in the hospital so don’t be afraid to ask questions.

I bought the little made up bottles too, DD drank most of not always all of one every 3 hours or so - just let the baby guide you.

A couple days in you’ll be able to do it with your eyes shut, or half asleep as may be the case. Good luck Smile x

Have a look at paced feeding and babies early feeding cues. In terms of amounts it is roughly 150mls per kg per day, so in a 3kg baby that's approx 55mls per feed (if feeding 3 hourly). However babies are born with tiny stomachs, they may only want 20mls at one feed then a bigger feed later on. It usually balances out over 24 hours. But don't over think it Smile like pp said, the midwife and health visitor can advise!

You'll be fine and the fact you have already decided will make things so much easier for you. I speak from slightly bitter experience.

You'll get help and will find a rhythm. Baby will tell you when they are hungry. There is loads of info online - start with NHS first, there is lots of advice- and you can always come back on here.

Enjoy your time with your baby when they arrive. It's amazing. Best of luck.

Don'r be worried (easier said than done i know) once baby is born everything will just click into place! :)
