Supply has tanked in a day

My DD is nearly 3 weeks old and until now was having breastfeeds and bottles of expressed milk at night.
My DP went back to work on nights Friday and the first night was terrible! I had no sleep at all, DD fed ok but I felt feverish with headache the next day and as I was so exhausted and feeling rubbish my mum came to babysit and I pretty much spent the whole day in bed, no appetite and didn’t drink much either.
I’m wondering if I have mild mastitis - right breast a bit tender but no fever now. I tend to feed from the left side and pump more from the right, on a morning normally I’d get around 100mls but today I’m barely managing 10-20mls. My left side is not much better either even though my milk supply has always been good.
Ive tried warm compress and breast massage prior to expressing, what can I do to try and get my supply back to normal? I’m really disappointed that it seems to have dried up in a day!

If you're feeling feverish, I would get checked for mastitis. I never pumped much, but I do know it's no sign of supply - does your baby seem full after a feed from the breast? Three weeks is very early and your supply will still be settling. Might be wise to ditch the pump if baby will feed from both sides and work on getting things stabilised that way.

Someone who knows more than me will be along any minute!

That reply isn't clear at all - basically I'm sure your supply is fine, just not showing itself with the pump. Feed from the breast and it'll settle.

I promise you haven’t dried up in a day and how much you pump is no indication of how much your baby gets when feeding.

Having said that, for most people feeding overnight is quite important to overall supply, especially in the early days, so if you have any concerns the easiest thing would be to do a few nights where you do night feeds, to stimulate supply.

In the medium term I would consider doing one night feed as standard. Have you learned to feed lying down yet? If the reason for expressing the night feeds is so that your partner can help in the night, he could still get your baby up when she wakes, change her nappy and bring her to you and then settle afterwards.

I have an inverted nipple on the right side which has always been a bit of an issue, can get quite painful, even on postnatal ward I struggled to get colostrum from that side which is why I prefer feeding from the left.
Yes she has bottles at night which DP gives, up until a few days ago we were both doing shifts at night as she wouldn’t sleep at all unless being held. We had her in crib/carrycot and yesterday tried a Moses basket which she is sleeping well in. I haven’t yet tried a night using that and breastfeeding so whether it’ll make a difference to her settling I don’t know. She can be on and off the breast for ages and in the first week was cluster feeding 9pm-3am which is why we started bottles.
