Nursing Strike 9 months old

Hi, my daughter turned 9 months yesterday. She had been bf-ing 5-6 times in 24hrs. Since yesterday at 1.30pm she has been on a nursing strike! I managed to feed her at midnight when she was sleepy but since then I tried at her usual feeding times and she just cries as soon as my boob touches her lip.
She has been eating food as normal.
Any advice much appreciated, I'm wondering when I just admit defeat!

If you do want to continue, it does sound like a nursing strike so you should be able to get her through it. Have a read of this on Kellymom and it might be worth giving one of the BFing Helplinesa call this afternoon, especially if you're not sure if you want to continue. The BFC will be able to talk you through your feelings as well as offering support and information Thanks

I think she is ready to give up BF, happy on food, why force the issue? For whose benefit?

@NoMorePoliticsPlease if she wants to give up that's fine, she won't drink milk from a bottle or cup so I'm just worried about the fact she isn't getting any milk. She is also utterly miserable about it.

@JiltedJohnsJulie thanks for the advice, I'll have a read. I will call someone tomorrow for some support as she is still refusing and won't take any milk from bottle or cup either. Just so strange. She seems to desperately want it when I'm holding her and then can't latch on anymore
