Spit up

Hello all, I recently posted about my LO change in feeding habits. I changed his milk from hungry baby back to first infant milk as suggested and he's feeding a lot better.

However he now spits up a lot after every feed I don't know whether this is because he used to having a heavier milk. I tried giving him less in case he was just having to much but he kept asking for more. He's having 4.5 oz every 3 hours and he's now 15 weeks.

Also at least twice a day sometimes more he has massive screaming tantrums when I try to feed him and I have to calm him down before he'll accept his bottle even though he is hungry. These can last between 5 - 30 minutes. This was happening before I changed his formula.

Any advice would be great ☺️

I’m going through something similar with my 10 week old, although he refuses comfort milk or anything thicker than infant milk. He spits up almost every feed (not really during the night feeds though) He was having 6oz for almost a week but now back to 5oz, I put it down to a growth spurt. Occasionally he freaks out mid feed and screams, refusing anymore food and farts constantly. He calms down when I walk him around.

I called the GP and they scared the shit out of me talking about pyloric stenosis.

I always thought babies were just dribbly/pukey and THATS why everyone gifts you so many Muslins..

@zoezoeok89

We have to walk around to settle him too! It makes feeding time exhausting and I can't seem to find anyone experiencing the same thing. I'm glad I'm not alone. But as he is taking less I'm worried about his weight.

Yeah it’s worrying generally having a bloody baby! As mine is 10 weeks I know his 5oz is fine, at 15 weeks I don’t know but can you speak to a health visitor?

Do you weigh him? We have been doing it with our bathroom scales, weighing ourselves then again holding him. He hasn’t lost weight since we last weighed him a few days ago but hasn’t gained yet either

I haven't weighed him recently but I'm concerned about the amount he's bringing up as it's more than usual.
