I used to like Kellogg's NutriGrain bars, or Sweet'n'Salty granola bars.

Bodkin · 05/09/2007 13:56

Galaxy. a large bar of. mmmmm, my baby loves chocolate milk

TheOldestCat · 05/09/2007 14:39

She rarely wakes for night feeds now, but my snack of choice was a choc chip 'elevenses' bar (or three) and a glass of milk.

And like Bodkin, chocolate. Lots and lots of it.

coleyboy · 05/09/2007 14:42

A glass of milk and a digestive, or a glass of milk and a banana mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

It was bananas and eat natural bars, yum.

absandme · 05/09/2007 21:09

Always milk, not always from a glass & not always with eyes open.... the light in the fridge is bright at silly -o -clock in the morning!

biscuits if available, or cereal if super hungry!

TenderheartBear · 05/09/2007 21:16

me too with the greens and blacks telling myself it was better than cadburys, thats why im still 2st over my pre preg weight. i used to take biscuits up to bed for nightime snacks too, and a pint glass of squash, 14 months onn and he still wakes for feeds, i know i should be putting it off, but will be too sad to completley stop feeding...

ArtistFormerlyKnownAsSOH · 05/09/2007 21:19

I drink 2 litres of water throughout the night, plus the odd pint of milk and eat bananas, granola, berries, cereal bars, gingerbread and dried fruit. Sainsbos do a fantastic tropical dried fruit mix.

DD is 17wks and still feeding every hour and a half at night. I'm ravenous.

Tutter · 05/09/2007 21:23

I never thought to eat during the night feeds! I used to drink water or squash but that was it! [boring emoticon]

Pannacotta · 05/09/2007 21:27

Halo choc cereal bars, lovely!!

Bodkin · 06/09/2007 10:40

Oh my lord artist.

[Awestruck]

Another vote for digestive biscuits (which I still keep by the bed for those 4am hunger pangs and DS is 1). Or milk if I'm also having trouble getting back to sleep. Just been on holiday to Brittany and DS's sleep was terrible so I ate a lot of crepe in the middle of the night. Yum Yum.

Guitargirl · 08/09/2007 21:49

Artist - am also awestruck but more about the healthiness (if that's a word?) of your snacking!

For me it was ice-cream, Sainsbury's fruit & nut chocolate and apple & cranberry juice.

Ceolas · 08/09/2007 21:51

I have never thought to eat during the night. DD3 is 10 days old and I always wake up starving! Not sure I could be bothered to get up and go downstairs though...

themoon66 · 08/09/2007 21:55

With DD it was Scottish oatcakes and big juicy oranges.

With DS it was Scottish oatcakes and skimmed milk.

DD is 21 years old on Monday and DS was 16 last month.

Do I get a medal for remembering that far back?

PrettyCandles · 08/09/2007 21:56

Having spilt too many cups on dh, or else missed the bedside table completely, I always have water in a sports-cap bottle by the bed. During and after pregnancy my bedside drawer is full of biscuits (malted milks or the small shortbread ones without sugar on top), breadsticks and Tracker bars.

Cold pizza is good!

JackieNo · 08/09/2007 21:57

I never thought to eat at night either - you lot are much more organised than I ever managed to be.

seeker · 08/09/2007 21:59

I used to send dp to make tea and toast - it was his contribution to the feeding of our babies!
