BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 21/08/2007 22:25

So KB? can I call you KB ??

I feel as though I hardly know you.

Have you already made the decision ?

kittenbaby · 21/08/2007 22:31

well im decideing on how long to do it for 6months or maybe more

OP posts:
kittenbaby · 21/08/2007 22:34

but of course that depends on how it goes im only at eight weeks so far

OP posts:
kittenbaby · 21/08/2007 22:34

kittenbaby · 21/08/2007 22:36

You are a newbie, you do not know my story.

But let me tell you, if I could have fed I would have fed until the last minute. I could not feed. However my DS is bright, articulate, and most interestingly of all allergy free.

So do not get hidebound by boob is best, bottle is bad. Bottle fed babies,(whatever the reason) ROCK

Twinklemegan · 21/08/2007 22:39

Aah, now it becomes clear. Listen everyone, count yourself lucky if it works out. And commiserate with those of us who end up paying extortionate amounts (not this much cos we didn't use ready-made) for something we don't want to do in the first place. Lecture over.

mummymagic · 21/08/2007 22:42

Some of us did want to do it in the first place too! And don't really resent paying £25 a month on our precious babes either.

mummymagic · 21/08/2007 22:43

bottle feed that is, some of us choose to do it quite happily.

kittenbaby · 21/08/2007 22:44

you dont know my story either!

why are you saying to me

"But let me tell you, if I could have fed I would have fed until the last minute. I could not feed. However my DS is bright, articulate, and most interestingly of all allergy free."

i never said he wasnt!

and if you read every thread ive ever written youll actually see ive never said a bad thing about bottle feeding

so i dont know what your problem is

OP posts:
mummymagic · 21/08/2007 22:46

(I don't know kb I don't really know what you did wrong! enjoy feeding your baby however you do it - cartons are expensive but handy for when you are out if you choose/have to bottlefeed)

kittenbaby · 21/08/2007 22:47

thankyou mm xx

Did I say you said he wasn't ??? It was a statement of fact. NOT a request for positive affirmation.

kittenbaby · 21/08/2007 22:50

well i dont know why you wanted to make that statement of fact to me

OP posts:
Twinklemegan · 21/08/2007 22:52

KB - I'm just wondering why you're doing your calculations on the ready-made formula? Especially if you manage to breastfeed to 6 months (and good on you if you do, sorry if I sounded like I was having a go). Powder has been fine for us - I hated using it but it was fine. Touch wood, my DS has no allergies either and is happy and healthy (apart from a raging cold). He's one now and having almost no milk at all, breast, cow or formula .

BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 21/08/2007 22:57

Eeerm.......................

Because you started the debate ?

kittenbaby · 21/08/2007 22:58

what debate
sorry have i missed something

OP posts:
BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 21/08/2007 23:01

You were the OP.

These things always descend into debate.

As you appear to be unfamiliar with the rules of engagement, I shall withdraw.

pregnantbabyelephant · 21/08/2007 23:01

what going on here ? why are you having a go at kb?
stop being so bloody defensive

pmsl at bree

don't worry about her kb
some are over sensitive
what a loser

Twinklemegan · 21/08/2007 23:01

I think by phrasing it that you were seeing how much you'd save (as if it were that simple, though I'm sure you know it isn't), you may have inadvertently started a debate.

mummymagic · 21/08/2007 23:01

kb, i assume Bree is referring to the fact that every feeding (especially bottlefeeding) thread here seems to turn into a thread on how evil bottle feeding is with loads of stats on how children will get nasty diseases and their heads will fall off etc etc.

It can get a bit tiring.

But I think you didn't realise that and just wanted to know! Fwiw a more realistic comparison is milk powder but you will also spend money bf too.
